Nintendo NX Release Date News: New Gaming Console Slated To Arrive in 2016
If these recent rumors are to be taken seriously, then it appears that the big two console brands from Sony and Microsoft will be facing yet another major competitor in the market.
It is heard on the street that Nintendo, one of the world's major gaming companies, will be launching a new gaming console that will be called Nintendo NX and is slated to be officially unveiled by 2016.
The report from Tech Radar cited earlier sightings of a handheld prototype design of the NX. Information that later trickled to the surface also indicated a fixed, portable design.

Speculations about the device became even more grounded when a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, Takashi Mochizuki, took to his social media to say that Nintendo NX will purportedly be a gaming system with two devices. Mochizuki went on to declare a 2016 release date of the gaming console which, as he said, will come with "Industry Leading Chips."
"Nintendo's new NX likely to 1) have more than two devices 2) come with powerful chips 3) be launched by end of 2016:" Mochizuki's Twitter post reads (via TR).
He added in his WSJ article that although the company has still yet to tease the exact design, Nintendo has already begun distributing software development kits (SDK) for the Nintendo NX.
Forum administrator "Crunchyg" of Nintendoforums.com spoke even further on the issue of the NX hardware. It is touted to be "quite possibly faster than whatever Sony and Microsoft have in store," which is the PS4 and Xbox One, respectively.
The forum site specifically cited one software demo, which took place during the SDK release, "crunches so many polygons that it's currently impossible to run at 60fps using a current-generation Intel CPU and a nearly top-of-the-line graphics card."
As for its pricing, the report from GameZone.com said that the Nintendo gaming system will most probably arrived at the store shelves with a $149.99 price tag.
