The super popular augmented reality (AR) game "Pokemon GO" has been sweeping nations of Pokemon trainers. "Pokemon GO" was marketed as a casual game among mobile users but according to its official website, battery drain is a known issue. Developer Niantic Labs wrote on the "Pokemon GO" support page that they are currently working on a solution for this. Could this mean that Nintendo NX was the solution after all?
Although Nintendo has kept mum about their new gaming device, there have been rumors going around the internet that the hybrid device might be true because of some leaked patents that reportedly are for the Nintendo NX, Express noted.
Ubisoft CEO Statement on Nintendo NX
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillermot has already seen the Nintendo NX and has praised it. He said that what they saw was "really great" and the rumored hybrid device will attract more and more players, especially the more casual ones, IGN reported.
The mention of casual players in the Guillermot's statement adds further fuel to the rumors that "Pokemon GO" could be playable via the handheld Nintendo NX.
Ubisoft is involved in the Nintendo NX business because they are one of the gaming companies who are reportedly making a game for the device. They are planning to unveil "Just Dance 2017" for the Nintendo NX sometime in March next year.
Other Nintendo NX Games?
One of the most awaited games on the Nintendo NX since its impressive debut in E3 2016 is "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." According to Attack of the Fanboy, the game will also be released for the Wii U next year.
While many doubted the coming of "Pikmin 4," it was confirmed by Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto that they are working on the title. Miyamoto apparently revealed during E3 2016 that "Pikmin 4" has been temporarily set aside because much of financial and workforce resources has been allotted to the Nintendo NX, Eurogamer noted. "Pikmin 3" launched for the Wii U in 2013 and it may be likely that "Pikmin 4" will launch for Nintendo NX.
