'Nioh' DLC News, Updates: Golden Nioh Armor Released in Celebration of 1 Million Sales
Koei Tecmo Games' action role-playing game (RPG) "Nioh" was just released last Feb. 7, yet it has already reached a momentous milestone. In celebration of such achievement, a gift is shared with all players, and is sure to add flair to the gameplay.
According to Japanese website Gamer, the worldwide sales volume of the game has reached more than a million, and as gratitude Koei is releasing a special Golden Nioh Armor. This has been part of the patch 1.04 last Feb. 24, 2017.
That's not the only treat that gamers are going to get as contributors to the huge success of the title. The early-purchase campaign, which allows players to acquire the Crimson Master Armor, has been extended until March 31. With two armors, it certainly is a grand way to show gratitude and inclusion in this great feat.
There are many reasons as to how the title achieved this amazing performance in just a short span of time. For one, there is a wonderful publicity surrounding the title, patterning itself with "Dark Souls" yet different in its own right.
Moreover, it is not just a mere hack-and-slash title. Sony Computer Entertainment America brand manager David Bull explained that with "Nioh," three fighting stances and mastery thereof are needed to survive. The High Stance, Middle Stance and the Low Stance each have their strengths and opportunities, and so toggling among them is crucial in calculating how to deal with enemies.
That's not all. Considering that William faces off against demonic entities that roam the streets of war-torn Japan, then it is but proper for him to have guardian spirits with him in his quest. This majesty was first shown in the PlayStation Experience 2016 trailer, giving him abilities to gain the upper hand.
Whatever the reason is, it is clear that the success is not with Koei Tecmo Games alone, but also with the players as well as everyone gets to have a congratulatory piece.
