No Man's Sky Release Date News: No Launch Date In Sight Yet
"No Man's Sky" still has no release date in sight and this is despite the special attention it got during the Late Show with Stephen Colbert recently, where Sean Murray of game developer Hello Games showed off the game to Colbert himself.
According to a report in Eurogamer, the TV host was impressed with the game and said that he "could not wait to play it." When Colbert pressed Murray for the release date however, all Murray could say was that "it's still a secret."
That means fans of the upcoming space adventure game definitely need to wait some more until Hello Games actually confirms when they will release the game. The game is eagerly awaited as it is supposed to feature a vast universe that, according to its creator, will have around 18 quintillion planets. Murray described the virtual universe: "We will find creatures and things that that we never knew existed, we'll find life in places where we didn't expect it."

Without any formal announcement about its release date, various rumors have been circulating about when the game is arriving to the PS4 and Windows PC. An earlier report pointed to a late October release based on recent media appearances that the developers have been making.
According to a report in Design and Trend, this included Murray's appearance in the Late Show and an event with the New Yorker the following day. The report also cited a GameFAQ that came out asking what October release they were eager to get their hands on and among the choices of games surprisingly included "No Man's Sky." The other games in the list were confirmed to be released in October.
The game was first announced during the E3 2014, followed by a short demo during E3 2015, and gamers have been eagerly anticipating its release. It is being developed by Hello Games, an independent British studio with only 10 team members.
