No Steve Carell for The Office Series Finale (VIDEO)
There will be no Steve Carell for "The Office" series finale. Many fans had predicted that the actor would be making a return as Michael Scott for the finale, but according to new reports Carell will not be making an appearance.
The series finale is scheduled to air on May 16, and many fans who had watched Carell star in the first seven seasons of the show had hoped he would come back to help see out the series finale.
Carell departed the popular show after seven seasons, and following his exit the show only lasted two more seasons.
According to reports, producer Greg Daniels has closed the door on any chance that Carell would be appearing on the series finale. Daniels has said in a recent conference call that Carell did not want to overshadow the ending and all the other characters who have stuck around for all these years.
Some have immediately declined to believe Daniels and believe the latest comments are just a way to throw rumors of the scent, and believe that Caroll will make an appearance out of the blue.
However, others have also claimed that Daniels is generally a guy who tells it like it is and rarely misdirects fans when it comes to his work on the popular show.
