Noctis to Appear in Dissidia Final Fantasy After Release of Final Fantasy XV

Fans of Final Fantasy XV have much to anticipate in the upcoming title, as it was recently announced that before gamers can play Noctis in the released "Dissidia Final Fantasy" for arcade, they'd have to wait for "Final Fantasy XV" to come out.

"Dissidia Final Fantasy" for arcade revealed a bevy of characters including Lightning and Cloud. Dengeki was able to interview key developers for the game including Square Enix producer Ichiro Hazama, Koei Tecmo director Takeo Kujiraoka and Team Ninja's Yosuke Hayashi. In the interview, Kujiraoka shared that if Noctis is playable in the game, Noctis would have difficulty with using his Phantom Sword, which can warp into many forms. Hayashi added that the release of Noctis in "Dissidia" may ruin "Final Fantasy XV," when the demo just came out.

Hazama reiterates that Noctis will be more appropriate after the "Final Fantasy XV" is out. He says, "this will have to after 'Final Fantasy XV' releases…It would be a bit too much to play as a 'Final Fantasy XV' character in arcades right after the demo."

In the recent news that came out in N4G.com, it says that Square Enix confirmed during the Jump Festa that they are working with several external studios as XPEC Entertainment, to finally put the development of Final Fantasy XV in place. The article also said that Famitsu confirmed the participation of HexaDrive.

For the uninitiated, HexaDrive is a Japanese studio which played a hand in some of the remasters, including "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD," "Okami HD," "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD," and patch for "Zone of the Enders HD Collection." The studio also collaborated on game development such as "EX Troopers," "The 3rd Birthday," and "The Wonderful 101."

The game's development was announced as early as May 2006 and due to the delay in its development and release, some of the fans were quick to think that the game was shelved for reasons unknown to them. It was in the 2013 event that developers sparked the interests of gamers when they announced the change of title and planned release on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Further trailer releases were also made at the Tokyo Game Show 2014, along with its commercial demo.

"Final Fantasy XV" release date is yet to be announced.
