Nokia 5 Specs News, Release Date: Compact Nokia 5 Features 13-MP Rear Camera, Fingerprint Sensor, Fully Laminated Display
Nokia has unveiled the Nokia 5 as part of its new lineup of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The smartphone essentially has similar features with the Nokia 6, only that it is more compact.
One of the most remarkable features of the Nokia 5 is its 13-MP rear camera, which has autofocus and dual-tone flash. Its camera is capable of capturing good quality photos even with low light. It also features an 8-MP front camera that comes with a wide-angle lens.
When it comes to display, the phone has a bright, 5.2-inch HD Corning Gorilla IPS display that is not only fully laminated but is also polarized. Since its screen is polarized, it has good visibility even when under a bright light. Aside from its display, the phone also boasts of its seamless metal body.
The Nokia 5 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 2 GB of RAM. Currently, it has 16 GB of built-in storage that can be expanded to 128 GB with microSD support. The phone also has a battery capacity of 3,000 mAh and a fingerprint sensor on its front, allowing users to gain easy access to their phone.
As for its dimensions, the Nokia 5 comes at 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm. It also comes in four different colors — silver, matte black, tempered blue and copper. The phone has two variants so users can choose between a single SIM or dual SIM Nokia 5.
Like the other Nokia Android phones that were launched at the MWC, the Nokia 5 also comes with Android Nougat, which means that it makes available all the Google services that Android offers. Since it does not have a layover UI like most smartphones today, Android updates can directly be installed in the phone without the need for another layer of software.
The phone will be out in the market in the second quarter of this year and will come with a price tag of $199.
