Nokia 6 vs BlackBerry DTEK60 Specs Review: Which is the Better Mid-Range Android Smartphone?

Nokia and BlackBerry are mobile phone brands that have been looking to rise above the ruins of their former glory. Both companies once dominated the mobile phone market at some point in the past, but have since fallen behind with the emergence of tech giants like Samsung and Apple in the smartphone industry.

But in previous months, the two have released their own brands of Android devices. One of the devices recently introduced by Nokia is the smartphone Nokia 6, while Blackberry launched the BlackBerry DTEK60. Months have passed since both gadgets were released, and the verdict is in on which of the two smartphones is better.

Because the Blackberry DTEK60 was released in October 2016, months ahead of the Nokia 6 (January 2017), the DTEK60 comes out-of-the-box with the Android 6.0 operating system, while the Nokia 6 comes with the Android 7.1. However, although the Nokia smartphone runs on a more updated Android OS, it doesn't mean it has better performance than the DTEK60.

Both gadgets are equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery, built-in storage of 32 GB, and expandable storage through microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC. However, according to GSMversus, the BlackBerry DTEK60 is ahead of Nokia with its 4 GB random-access memory (RAM), while Nokia 6 only has 3 GB of RAM.

Though the BlackBerry DTEK60 may essentially be the better phone, the choice of which smartphone to purchase is still up to the users. If interested buyers are looking to stick to a tight a budget and purchase a decent phone, the Nokia 6 may just be the smartphone they are looking for. However, for those who are interested in finding a mid-range phone with premium parts, the BlackBerry DTEK60 is the better option.
