Nokia 8 Release Date, Price News: Smartphone May Cost $465
The mobile arena is heating up with every passing day especially with the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 swiftly coming. Amid the highly saturated competition, the return of Nokia to the stage is one of the most sought after, and it looks like some details are being leaked.
In a listing put up at Hong Kong-based retailer JD.com, it appears that the unreleased phone could amount to 3,188 Chinese Yuan ($463.89). Aside from the rumored price, an image is also posted on the website, although its legitimacy is something that is still questionable. This does, however, give a first insight into what price bracket the model is going to be.
Meanwhile, the Finnish firm HMD Global, who is authorized to sell phones under the Nokia brand, has remained mum on the matter. If this is a publicity stunt, then from the looks of the rumors it is obviously working as it gets more attention from the public.
The speculations that are making the rounds so far about the Nokia 8 suggests it will have two variants, both having a 5.7-inch quad high-definition (QHD) super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display, 24-megapixel (MP) rear camera, and 12 MP lens on the front.
It is said that the main difference between the two models is the processor and the memory within the units. The high-powered one is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM) while the other one will be less powerful and probably cheaper, having Snapdragon 821 with 4 GB of RAM.
As for its internal storage, there are rumors that there is an option to choose either 64 GB or 128 GB. It will likely have a feature in which its memory can be expanded via microSD cards, although those are all pure hunches.
All these are to be taken with a grain of salt for now, but all rumors will be put to rest once the MWC 2017 launches the new Nokia phone, and tech aficionados all over the world will be watching intently.
