Nokia 9 Could Have an OLED Display, Latest Android Oreo
The specs of what could be the Nokia 9 has been leaked, and it looks like the new phone has the specs to step up to the iPhone X. The new phone could come with an OLED display and the latest Android Oreo, according to reports.
A set of documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission may provide a hint of what the Nokia 9 would be capable of when it comes out, as Liliputing reports. The Nokia 8 now looks to be an early attempt at a flagship phone from HMD's Nokia brand, and the next handset could incorporate everything the company has learned along the way.
The model submitted to the FCC hints that the new Nokia 9 will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, the same as the previous Nokia 8. There is no detailed information on the amount of memory, but considering that the Nokia 8 carried 4 GB by default, the new handset could be packing that much or even more.

The new model also had 128 GB of storage for the variant submitted to the agency, which hints that the Nokia 9 will have that option, more or less.
The specs on FCC also indicates that the phone will have a 5.5-inch OLED display made by LG, an improvement over the IPS LCD display of the Nokia 8, as The Verge points out. The new handset also seems to have dual rear cameras, a combination of 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors, and surprisingly, the front camera may be a dual sensor setup as well.
More information in the FCC documents indicate that the upcoming phone will run Android 8.0 Oreo by default, and will come with a 3,250 mAh battery. There are no further details on price, appearance, other features and availability date as of this time.
