'Now You See Me 2' Cast News: Daniel Radcliffe Does More Magic
The upcoming "Now You See Me 2" has finally released its trailer, revealing some new faces joining the group.
The previously released "Now You See Me" garnered success, earning $351 million worldwide. It was said to be Lionsgate's fifth biggest gross worldwide.
The recently released trailer showed the return of Jesse Eisenberg, David Franco, and Woody Harrelson. Unfortunately, Isla Fisher will not be taking part in the upcoming movie as it was reported that she is pregnant. Her role, however, will be taken on by Lizzie Caplan.
The trailer provided a twist at the end when it revealed the newest member of the group: Daniel Radcliffe. According to Michael Caine, Radcliffe will be taking on the role of his character's son.
It can be seen from the trailer that the "Harry Potter" star will be taking on a new kind of magic in "Now You See Me 2." However, it was revealed that he will not be too skilled with his magic; nevertheless, fans are still excited to see Radcliffe take on another magical role.
The synopsis of the movie was previously revealed by Cinema Blend. It stated, "One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface in Now You See Me 2 only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet."
The sequel will be directed by Jon M. Chu, instead of Louis Leterrier. Chu has taken on several big projects such as "G.I. Joe: Retaliation." Along with Leterrier's absence, it was revealed that Morgan Freeman and Melanie Laurent will not be present in the movie as well.
"Now You See Me 2" is expected to release in theaters on June 10, 2016.
