NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti vs. AMD Vega: NVIDIA Unleashes New Card as AMD Is Left Behind in Releases

The highly anticipated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has finally landed on the gaming universe. Multiple outlets confirm that the gaming card is out for fans to explore. It remains to be seen when AMD will unveil its Vega 10 weapon.

According to PC Gamer, testing is on the way for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. CEO Jen-Hsun Huang revealed last week that the gaming card will be available this week. Indeed, it has arrived and some analysts and enthusiasts are currently working on their reviews.

For GTX 1080 Ti fans, it is worth noting that the new model is said to be performing better than its predecessors. Since it is powered with 3584 CUDA cores, gamers can expect a more improved experience. Fans will have to wait further for details regarding the clock speeds.

As for the AMD Vega new model, some analysts have previously noted that it could be more powerful than the GTX 1080 Ti. According to Pantagraph, AMD is expected to come out this year with more powerful graphics processing units (GPUs). Not much is known about the new model but fans can expect that it won't let NVIDIA's recent releases get in the way.

While fans have their eyes particularly at NVIDIA's newest release, AMD's Vega shouldn't be forgotten. The new graphics card set will be called Radeon RX Vega and it will feature the High-Bandwidth Cache Controller.

DSO Gaming notes that the Vega's Rapid Packed Math feature will make the upcoming graphics card more powerful than the previous releases from AMD. This could also double the improvements in certain scenarios though more details on this have yet to be divulged.

At this point, it is hard to tell whether the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is better than the AMD Vega. The Vega has yet to be revealed sometime during the second quarter of 2017.
