Marshawn Lynch Reportedly Wants to Play for Oakland Raiders
With all the running backs still available in the free agent market, it was somewhat surprising to hear that the Oakland Raiders were trying to convince Marshawn Lynch to return to the National Football League (NFL) and suit up for them next season.
A lot of people really want to see Lynch play again, but is he really interested in returning? Well, maybe he is.
Citing a reliable source, Peter King of The MMQB said Lynch was seriously considered coming out of retirement to play for the Raiders. "He [Lynch] really wants to play for the Raiders. He also wants to do good things for his foundation in the area. This is a great chance to accomplish both things," the source told King.

Sounds like it is Raiders or bust for Lynch. However, his situation is a little complicated because the Seattle Seahawks still own his playing rights. The Raiders will have to acquire him through a trade if they really want him. Of course, the Seahawks can always release him, but will they do that to help another team?
Meanwhile, in an interview with KNBR, Lynch's agent Doug Hendrickson admitted that he does not know what his client wants to do since he hasn't heard from him. However, he said Lynch does miss playing football.
"He does miss football, no question. He loves the game of football. He's 30. But until I meet with him this week, you know, I don't know what his mindset is. He's the kind of guy that can shift by the hour," Hendrickson said during the interview. "Marshawn's always done it his way. He hasn't succumbed to public pressure," he continued.
The five-time Pro Bowler still has a lot of gas in the tank. He might have retired in 2016, but he's still 30 (31 in April) and he has always been impressive.
