The Falcons come into this game with a 5-0 record and are widely predicted to make that 6-0 against the Raiders in today's match up.

Last week the Falcons faced one of their most challenging opponents yet in the Washington Redskins. However, Matt Ryan led them to a 24-17 victory, throwing 345 yards as well as two touchdowns.

The Falcons will be brimming with confidence coming into this game and in front of their home crowd will be huge favorites to extend their unbeaten run a game further today.

The Oakland Raiders meanwhile have had a torrid start to the season and stand at 1-3. They had a bye week last week, and have been contemplating their huge defeat at the hands of Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos in Week 4.

They will have had to look seriously at the frailties in their game over the past two week, and will need to have made some significant improvements if they are not to be torn apart by this impressive Falcons' outfit today.

The Raiders will need to seriously improve their pass defense, as they currently rank a lowly 28th in the NFL in defending the pass. They will have no let up today though as the Falcons rank 7th in pass offense in the NFL when it comes to passing yards per game. The Falcons will be coming into this game with a strategy clearly laid out to exploit this weakness in the Raiders' defense, and if the Raiders don't significantly improve that area of their game it could be a nasty score line for them come the end of today.

The Falcons already of course hold a lead in first place in the NFC South, and will look to further extend that today. The Raiders meanwhile lie third in the AFC West, and are behind both the Denver Broncos and the San Diego Chargers. If they can pull off a surprise win today it will put them right back in the mix.
