Octomom Fraud? Nadya Suleman Under Investigation for Welfare Fraud (VIDEO)

Octomom is under investigation for fraud, after suspicions from welfare investigators that she has not been entirely truthful about her welfare information. It has been reported that if Nadya Suleman is found guilty of welfare fraud she could even serve time behind bars.

The investigations have been started after a complaint was filed about alleged welfare fraud by the Octomom.

The allegations were reportedly filed with the Los Angeles County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation, and claimed that Suleman was receiving public benefits even though she reportedly made about $200,000 in 2012.

According to celebrity news website TMZ, the threshold for Suleman to collect welfare for her family, which includes 14 children in total, is just $119,000.

The investigation is already reportedly underway with several witnesses already questioned by the welfare investigation team.

Suleman's financial struggles have been well documented over recent years by media outlets, as the celebrity mom fights to support her huge family as a single mom.

Previously Suleman had said that she would never enter the adult film industry to make ends meet, however, last year she conducted numerous stints in the adult porn business, taking part in a solo movie, as well as working as a stripper.

She had hoped that going into the adult industry would help her out of her financial woes, and she did come off of welfare in the middle of last year. However, by early this year her financial situation again began to decline and she was forced to claim welfare again at the beginning of 2013.

According to reports, Suleman received $1,800 per month for food as well as $1,000 for emergency cash.

Other reports have also documented that her family receives Medi-Cal benefits along with mental health and dental payments.

Octomom has been the center of continued controversy since 2009 when she gave birth to octuplets through in-vitro fertilization (IVF). That sparked outrage among many after it was also revealed that she already had six other children, and she had no clear plan about how to take care of all 14 children.
