Ohio Woman Arrested Trying to Break Into Jail
Police say a woman in Ohio tried to break in to a county jail, but was spotted before she had time to find herself a cell.
Tiffany R. Hurd, 36, is suspected of trespassing in order to gain access into the Butler County Jail in Hamilton, a small town outside of Cincinnati.
The jail, in southwest Ohio, has an exterior fence, which police say Hurd attempted to scale before she was spotted by guards patrolling the perimeter. Prison officials are still trying to determine why the woman chose to break into the jail.

What makes this situation even more out of the ordinary is that- according to reports- after the woman realized that she had been spotted, she confronted officers and began daring them to arrest her.
Deputies with the Butler County Sheriff's Office were forced to arrest Hurd after she was caught trying to climb over a fence. Deputies then repeatedly told Hurd to leave the premises, but she continually ignored their requests for her to leave.
"I want to be arrested," she yelled at deputies, according to reports from WKRC.
Prison officials believe that Hurd was intoxicated at the time and believe that may have played a role during the incident.
Hurd was arrested on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. She was granted her wish and is now in the county jail.
"Prisoner arrested trying 2 get back n 2 jail. After release. She got her wish. Not the norm. Got it backwards," Sheriff Richard K. Jones of the Butler County Sheriff's Office tweeted.
"Guess she's getting what she wanted," Jones added.
Deputies told local media that this was the first time someone tried to break into the jail by trespassing.
Hurd's bond has been set at $2,500 and a court date is set for Aug. 9.
