The hit sequel spawned a 2012 animated series spin off on Disney XD, "Tron: Uprising," and a manga version in 2011 by Earth Star Entertainment in Japan.
It is still not known whether Jeff Bridges will return to his role as computer programmer and ENCOM CEO, Kevin Flynn, having sacrificed himself to allow his son to escape the GRID in the 2010 film.
Wilde will be starting the "Tron 3" project fresh off her contract from Blumhouse's horror fantasy flick, "The Lazarus Effect," while Hedlund is currently playing the young Captain Hook in Warner Bros.' "Pan," in a retelling of the J.M. Barrie classic.
