'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 Spoilers: More 'Frozen' Characters Cast, Michael Socha Latest Series Regular

More details about the new season of "Once Upon a Time" have surfaced as pictures from the set were posted on social media. One picture shows Queen Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Kristoff Scott (Michael Foster) talking, while another one shows the Queen of Arendelle about to open a closet. Filming for the new season is currently taking place in Vancouver, Canada.

Executive producer Adam Horowitz recently told The Hollywood Reporter that they were "honored" to be able to incorporate the "Frozen" universe and characters in the hit series.

"We fell in love with [the movie] when it came out last year like everyone did, and we want to do our best to do it justice," he said.

Aside from Haig and Foster, other characters from the Disney movie have been cast. Newcomer Elizabeth Lail will be playing the role of Princess Anna, Tyler Jacob Moore will be playing the devious Prince Hans, while John Rhys Davies was cast as Pabbie.

"Lost" alum Elizabeth Mitchell was also cast in an undisclosed role. Horowitz and co-creator Edward Kitsis said that her character will either be an evil Snow Queen more like the one from the original Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, or Elsa's and Anna's mother, who somehow survived the sinking ship which was depicted in the film.

Meanwhile, Michael Socha, who played the Knave of Hearts in the cancelled series "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," will be joining the cast of "Once Upon a Time" as a series regular. Ginnifer Goodwin will also be returning as Snow White, along with fellow cast members Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming, Colin O'Donoghue as Captain Hook, and Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills.

"Once Upon a Time" Season 4 will air on Sept. 28 on ABC.
