'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 News, Cast, Spoilers: Fans Will Finally See Captain Hook's Father for the First Time
"Once Upon a Time" has steadily gained a strong fanbase in the past four seasons. Now that it has entered its fifth year, more characters are stepping up to the challenge of being a hero, especially when Emma (Jennifer Morrison), the known hero in the past, is now the villain. One of the characters that is expected to take on a new responsibility probably foreign to him at this point would be Emma's current love interest, Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue).
It has already been revealed in previous reports that Captain Hook will fight a battle within him. In the first few episodes, it is already seen little by little that Hook's desire to do good and save Emma is constantly tested by Emma's seduction to go back to his evil ways. This challenge that Hook faces will also apparently give audiences a look at his past, and what he was gone through to have been engulfed by the darkness for so long.
Now according to Movie News Guide, it seems that Hook's father will be appearing soon. It is said that the episode will feature "Hook as a little boy." Show creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently appeared in the OUAT New York Comic-Con 2015 Panel and shared that the episode showing his childhood will definitely feature his parentage. Entertainment Weekly reports that the episode is expected to air before its winter break.

As for the actor cast to play the role of Hook's father, it will be Adam Croasdell, who starred in "East Enders." Although it hasn't been revealed as to how it will all play out, it is already known that Hook's father had abandoned him when he was young. It is also suspected that his father would be Davy Jones, if his name, Killian Jones, is to be of basis.
For now, fans will have to wait how Hook's story will unfold as "Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday, 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
