'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 News, Cast, Spoilers: Hercules and Megara Are Finally Coming to Storybrooke; Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin Having Second Baby
After weeks of speculation, it is not finally confirmed that season 5B of "Once Upon a Time" will finally be taking on Greek mythology. Every since Greg Germann had been cast as as the "Distinguished Gentleman," rumors have been going around that perhaps he will be playing none other than the king of the Underworld, Hades. But there hasn't been any confirmation about that until recently, when the character of Meghan Ory, Ruby, made a quick appearance in the last episode, as well as a reference about River Styx. It was then that everyone assumed that the story is definitely down to Greek mythology.
Now, a well-known couple in Greek mythology have just been cast, Hercules and Megara. TVLine took the opportunity first to announce when the characters can be expected. They will apparantly be making their debut in the 13th episode, which will be entitled "Labor of Love." Hercules will be portrayed by John Whitesell, while Megara will be played by Kacey Rohl, who is most known for her appearance in Hannibal.
Hercules is described to be "a dashing, strapping young man" who continuously try "to be the greatest hero who ever lived." However, Hercules will be set off track when he meets Megara. Megara's description is "a plucky young adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit." Her character has apparently been trapped in a dungeon and is now "waiting for the right opportunity to shine brightly again."
As for other couple news on the show, real-life couple Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin, who play Prince Charming and Snow White, respectively, will be having their second baby. The couple who are parents to 17-month Oliver Finlay told People that they are expecting a new addition to their family. Dallas recently spoke praises of his wife's motherly skills, as he says, "It's extraordinary because she is, literally, the greatest mother that I know," he said. "It's extraordinary to have your partner, who you've known all this time, blossom into this woman … who is so nurturing, so caring and just so cool. She's so cool and she's a cool mom. It's great."
