'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 News, Cast, Spoilers: Pan Is Returning
"Once Upon a Time" is certainly one of ABC's hit shows. Despite being on its fifth year, the show hasn't given off signs of stopping anytime soon, and to celebrate its success, the series seems to be already planning its 100th episode treat to the fans, by bringing back some familiar faces.
The 100th episode is expected to air around early March. Although no story line has been discussed yet, it seems that viewers will see villains that the heroes of Storybrooke have faced before. According to Entertainment Weekly, the latest confirmed actor to reprise a role for the episode is Robbie Kay, who played the evil Peter Pan in the third season. The "Heroes" star made an impact on the Neverland story line as he convinced Henry to become his "truest believer" in an attempt to capture his heart. Failing to do so, he ended up swapping bodies with Henry as they returned to Storybrooke. In the end, Pan's son, Rumplestiltskin, had ended up killing both of them in order to save Henry.
Aside from Kay, previously confirmed star to grace the television screen in the 100th episode is Regina's (Lana Parilla) evil mother, Cora, a.k.a. "Queen of Hearts." The present-day Cora is played by Barbara Hershey, who last appeared trying to steal the Dark One's dagger and ultimately failing as Snow White had killed her during the process. Rose McGowan also played the younger version of Cora, however, only Hershey is reported to make an appearance.
Not only will the villains be making a return but other heroes too such as Jamie Chung as Mulan, Meghan Ory as Ruby (Red Riding Hood), and David Anders as Victor Frankenstein, or Dr. Whale in his Storybrooke counterpart. There isn't much about the plot and whether these characters will be seen joining the characters in the current story line or if they will be in flashbacks, so fans will have to wait for further announcements.
Season 5 of "Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday, 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
