'Once Upon a Time' Season 5B Spoilers: Old Faces Will Return in Midseason Premiere
"Once Upon a Time" season 5B will start with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the gang going for a rescue mission to the Underwold, and many fans are excited to see what the show will bring next. Since the theme of the next half of the fifth season is the Underworld, viewers will be seeing more familiar faces, who were lost along the way, making a comeback to the show.
During the last Television Critics Association winter press tour, Paul Lee, ABC network's president, said that having Greek Mythology as the theme of the next half of season 5 allows them to bring back certain characters that were already lost, according to Entertainment Weekly (EW). The website said that the characters that may return are Henry (Tony Perez), Peter Pan (Robbie Kay), Milah (Rachel Shelley), Cora (Barbara Hershey), and Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit).
Since Emma and company have to go through and face Hades (Greg Germann), the god of the Underworld, first before they can get Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) back, fans wonder if they will have a hard time doing it. The reason why fans think about the possibility is because according to Inquistr, Hades was spotted doing a scene with Zelena (Rebecca Mader), and fans know how evil the Wicked Witch of the West can be.
Meanwhile, EW's report also pointed out how Lee appreciated the works of "Once Upon a Time's" creators, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, on the show. "Those guys are so inventive. You know these great shows with strong franchises, they ebb and flow as you go through. Each of their arcs they bring a new theme in," Lee said. "I think Once Upon a Time has a long and bright future," he concluded.
Watch the return of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 this March 6, Sunday, on ABC.
