Snow Discovers a Changed David Upon Her Return in 'Once Upon a Time' Season 6
Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) will find her husband a changed man when the Evil Queen's (Lana Parrilla) sleeping curse is lifted in the upcoming second half of the current season of "Once Upon a Time."
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Goodwin talked about when her character and David (Josh Dallas) will finally see each other again. Previously, the villain put a spell on the couple. While one is sleeping, the other would stay awake. Because David wanted to protect his wife and Storybrooke from the Evil Queen, he decided to forgo sleep. He was also worried about Emma (Jennifer Morrison), who got trapped at the Wish Realm with Regina. Goodwin said that the upcoming scene made her emotional because of the way the curse was lifted.
When Snow eventually starts living a normal life again, she will realize what has happened to her husband in her absence. Series co-creator Edward Kitsis hinted to TVLine in December that David would turn dark. Without Snow's support, he easily becomes depressed. The problems keep on piling up and it is taking its toll on him. The lack of sleep will also have a huge effect, as David continues refusing the chance to give in to the urge to rest.
Snow will be worried about how her husband fared without her, but they still have a job to do. First, they must rescue Emma and bring her home. Then, they must end the Evil Queen's reign once and for all.
"We're going to see that toll that it takes on Charming, who toward the end of the [fall] run looked sleep-deprived, going dark and off the rails. Without his 'calming center' around, and without much sleep, he can get into some real trouble!" the EP teased.
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 will return on March 5, 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
