'Once Upon A Time' Season 7 Midseason Premiere Spoilers: Who Will Form The Coven of Eight

The Disney witches are coming in the second half of "Once Upon A Time" season 7.

In the midseason finale, Mother Gothel (Emma Booth) realized that Anastasia (Yael Yurman) could be more useful to her than her sister Drizella (Adelaide Kane) because she can work well with her coven called the "Coven of Eight." This is why Mother Gothel opted to break her ties with Drizella and bring Anastasia with her to look for the members of the coven in Hyperion Heights.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Edward Kitsis revealed that Mother Gothel is planning to gather as many ruthless beings as she can to push forward with all her evil plans in "Once Upon A Time" season 7B.

"We're going to see some witches from Disney lore," Kitsis stated. "And at the same time, I think we're seeing that Mother Gothel believes in drawing strength from numbers. So whatever dastardly plan she has for the second half of the season, she's forming a gang."

Kitsis also teased that there will be a giant curve ball that will be presented as Mother Gothel tries to bring together the members of the coven. "Everyone will go into it thinking it's just going to be Gothel assembling it and creating a plan, and there is a huge curve ball that comes into it that hopefully surprises people," the executive producer also said in a separate interview with TVLine.

Meanwhile, the show's other executive producer Adam Horowitz also revealed that the second half of "Once Upon A Time" season 7 will also delve further into the story of Zelena's (Rebecca Mader) grown-up daughter Robin (Tiera Skovbye), who is revealed to be in love with Alice (Rose Reynolds).

According Horowitz, fans will get to know more about Robin's story when the fairy tale drama return for the remaining episodes of season 7. "We're going to see how Robin and Alice meet, fall in love and end up at that point," Horowitz stated. "She's definitely coming back. There's a lot of Robin."

ABC will broadcast the midseason premiere of "Once Upon A Time" season 7 on Friday, March 2, at 8 p.m. EDT.
