'Once Upon a Time' Season 7 Spoilers: EP Eddy Kitsis Hints at Return of Former Cast Members

Familiar faces are coming back to "Once Upon a Time."

Season 7 marked a huge reset for the ABC drama. New cast members were introduced as fans bid goodbye to many original characters in the show. As the series takes a break, executive producer Eddy Kitsis recently hinted the return of more original characters — particularly Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas).

"We remain very, very close with [Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin]. They are two of our dearest friends," he told TV Guide. "I think the fun thing about 'Once Upon a Time' is people can come in and out even when they're dead, meaning that the world is always open for people to return. Whether it will be this year or not, we're not sure yet. I definitely think we'll see some familiar faces in the second half of the season."

As reports point out, Kitsis mentioned the word "dead." Snow White and Prince Charming have not been killed off, which means their comeback may not be in the cards for this season. The possibility of Belle's (Emilie de Ravin) return, however, seems more likely since she is the most significant dead character on the show. Gideon (Giles Matthey) is also expected to reappear anytime soon due to his connection to Rumple's (Robert Carlyle) current story arc.

The end of season 7A revealed that although Drizella (Adelaide Kane) believed she was behind the plot to curse everyone, it was actually Mother Gothel (Emma Booth) who was orchestrating the entire thing. She was able to complete her evil plan with the help of her "Coven of the Eight," a group composed of eight witches who will make their debut in the second half of season 7.

"Once Upon a Time" season 7 returns with new episodes on Friday, March 2, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
