'Once Upon A Time' Series News: Show Returns on April 3 with "Our Decay"

America's fairy-tale inspired series "Once Upon a Time" returns to TV via its "Our Decay" episode on Sunday, April 3, which is the shows sixteenth episode for its season five run.

"Our Decay" features Emma, Snow, David, Regina, Robin, Henry, and Hook continuing their quest to free all of those who have been imprisoned in the Underworld. The episode will also feature Gold creating a portal to Storybrooke so that Belle, Zelena, and Baby Hood can be transported to the Underworld.

"Once Upon a Time" episode 16 also tackles a sibling fight between Zelena and Regina and Belle's reunion with Rumple. However, the reunion is not as happy as it should be as Belle is handed with a shocking news that will change her life forever.

This Sunday's episode will also cast a spotlight on Snow and David in their futile attempt to contact their son, Neal, from the Underworld. A flashback scene also features Hades' attempt to form an alliance with Zelena after learning of her special spell. However, he ends up getting more than just an ally.

Actor Sam Witter, formerly of "Being Human," is introduced in the upcoming episode as he plays the role of Jacob, an evil mental hospital warden in the Underworld. As a villain, he enjoys inflicting pain and torturing his patients. Witwer's Jacob will be the newest antagonist on the show beginning its mid-season run.

Meanwhile, there are rumors floating that "Once Upon a Time" is down to its last two seasons. While it's true that the show has been recently renewed for its season six run, naysayers claim that it is in the offing after its season six, thanks to its spiraling down ratings.

According to TV Line, "Once Upon a Time" season five dropped a quarter from its previous season's average ratings. As the network has a new president, it is very likely for the new management to axe shows that perform poorly at the ratings game. If "Once Upon a Time" continues to decline in terms of ratings, it may, indeed, be shelved after its sixth season run.
