One Direction Movie Trailer: 'This Is Us' Reveals Life on the Road (VIDEO)

Fans of British boy band One Direction (1D) flew into a frenzy on social networking sites Tuesday following the release of a full length trailer of the group's upcoming documentary "This Is Us."

Harry Styles, 18, Nial Horan, 19, Zayn Malik, 20, Liam Payne, 19, and Louis Tomlinson, 21 reportedly give fans a behind the scenes look at their lives on the road as they tour around the world. In some scenes band members are seen laughing and joking with on another and in other scenes they are having more serious and even intimate conversations.

"I haven't met a girl yet who I'd want to even think of getting serious with," Styles says in the highly anticipated film according to U.K.'s Daily Star Sunday. "I think I've been unlucky in love so far. But then, I haven't really met anyone who's made the earth move for me."

The film, which is due for release in the U.S. and U.K. in August, is directed by "Super Size Me" creator Morgan Spurlock and presented in 3-D. It features a number of hit songs as well as the band's new song "Best Song Ever," which is due for release on July 22.

"That's the cool thing about working with someone like Morgan. Because he is so hands-on and involved, you do kind of feel like you have full control of everything that is going on," Malik told Total Film regarding the documentary.

Tomlinson, who is the oldest band member, assured fans that nothing in the upcoming film is scripted.

"No, nothing at all was scripted. You know if we are asked the questions … we just answer naturally," he said.

"Because I think that's the most important part, that we show people who we are," he continued. "And you know, to do that we can't have anything scripted. So it's all a reality."

In 2010, 1D was spontaneously formed by British TV producer Simon Cowell after each member failed to wow U.K. "X-Factor" judges as solo artists. Due to growing popularity, 1D quickly landed a $2.5 million dollar deal with Syco Records through Sony Music.

The group's debut single, "What Makes You Beautiful," peaked at no. 1 in the U.K. music charts just one week after its release and also won a BRIT award for Best British Single in 2012. Since it's formation, the band, which has drawn comparisons to legendary boy bands like The Beatles, has reportedly sold at least 29 million records worldwide.
