'One Piece' Episodes 779, 780 Spoilers: Luffy, Carrot Infiltrate Navy Base for Food in Upcoming Anime Original Arc

Carrot's first foray into the sea is not turning out to be what she expected when a huge storm suddenly arrives, threatening to sink them. This was on top of Luffy burning the Thousand Sunny's kitchen down, along with their entire food supply!

The Straw Hats may have not yet felt the full brunt of Sanji's absence until they let Luffy into the kitchen, only to burn it down before coming up with a casserole full of gunk. Now that they are all out of provisions for their long journey to Whole Cake Island, Luffy and crew will be forced to launch a high-stakes mission to acquire more food for their trip.

In the next episode of "One Piece," the Straw Hats are heading towards a Navy frontline base to see if they can get some food to fill their empty stomachs. But while they are there, they can't help but get into trouble when they are caught by the young officers stationed there, who also happen to be responsible for training the next generation of Marines.

Could Luffy and Carrot be willing to train as Marine rookies for the sake of food?! This seems to be the case as shown in the official trailer.

Titled "A Hungry Front! Luffy and the Navy Rookies!," the upcoming episode will also reportedly usher in an anime original arc known as the "Marine Supernova."

What challenges await the crew in this brand new adventure? Will they be able to acquire food without having to out themselves as pirates? And with this, plus Kaido's looming threat on Luffy and Trafalgar's lives, will the Straw Hats ever make it in time stop Sanji's upcoming wedding in Whole Cake Island?

"One Piece" episode 780 airs on Saturday, March 18, at 3:30 p.m. JST on Fuji TV.
