'One Piece' Episodes 780, 781 Spoilers, News: Straw Hats vs Marines Battle Breaks Out in Filler Arc's Final Two Episodes
One would think that a wanted pirate like Luffy, whose bounty currently amounts to 500 million, would be a bit more careful about venturing out on adventures involving the Marines. Now that he and Carrot have been caught red-handed and are facing an intense battle with Grant and his comrades, Bonam and Zappa, inside the Marine Base's cafeteria, will the Straw Hat's elusive captain finally be apprehended?
In the upcoming episode titled "The Implacable Three! A Big Chase After the Straw Hats!" the young and fiery tempered Marine Captain, Grant, prepares to take on Luffy and cut the Straw Hat Captain down to size. But Luffy is not one to back down from a good fight, even if it gets in the way of his meal. It even looks like the two captains, who share an air of youthful impulsiveness between them, will be enjoying their intense match as Bonam and Zappa go after the other Straw Hats who are targeting the supplies in their food storage.
With such strong and determined characters chasing after them, will the Luffy and his crew be able to restock their own empty food storage with the Marine's stocks? Will Luffy's skills be the perfect match that Grant is looking for in an adversary, and could this satisfaction possibly lead to the young captain eventually letting the Straw Hats go? Or will Luffy and his crew devise a more decisive plan that could potentially blow up the entire Marine Base at its very worst?

The Straw Hats, who are headed for Whole Cake Island to retrieve Sanji, and have thus renamed their group as the Sanji Retrieval Team, still have a long way to go before they arrive at their intended destination. How long will this supposedly brief stop derail them from their original mission? And will they finally be able to resolve their food problems?

The "Marine Rookies" filler arc will run for two more episodes before it finally gives way to the much awaited "Whole Cake Island" arc, which is scheduled to begin with episode 783 airing on Sunday, April 9.
