'One Piece' spoilers: Luffy will cause confusion among the seven leaders

Spoilers for chapter 800 of "One Piece" are now circulating, and it seems that fans of the manga will finally get an answer about the offer of the seven powerful leaders to Luffy. A Movie News Guide report talks more about what to expect in the following chapter.

The last chapter left people wondering what Luffy will decide on regarding the 5,600-men alliance offered to him, and though many already expected his refusal, it seems that they can't help but feel a bit disappointed when it was confirmed he will do so in the following chapter.

The main reason why Luffy turned down the opportunity is apparently simply because he only wants to be a Pirate King and not some important individual. Throughout chapter 800, fans will witness how the seven leaders will do their best to get Luffy to accept them as his underlings, even going so much as trying to force Luffy on drinking sake just so that they can become his official subordinates.

They would also open up the benefits of this alliance, as they foresee the Straw Hat Pirates Captain being hunted down by stronger foes in the future. Having a strong backup, such as Yonta Maria Grand Fleet Adventurer "Massacre Ruler" Orlumbus and Barto Club Captain Bartomoleo the Cannibal, would definitely be in his favor if worse comes to worst. The leaders become so desperate that some of them, including Beautiful Pirates Captain Cavendish of the White Horse (Pirate Prince), Happo Navy Leader Sai (Don Sai), and XXX Gym Martial Arts Alliance Boxer "Destruction Cannon" Ideo, have already considered beating up Luffy just to make him agree.

It is said that at the end of it all, Luffy will stick to his decision and the leaders will bitterly accept it, choosing to just drink their own sakes. However, their determination to stand by Luffy during his times of need is not shaken as they oath to always be behind him during dire times.
