'One-Punch Man' Season 2 News, Plot Rumors: Saitama's Origin Story To Be Featured?

The second season of "One-Punch Man" has been plagued by rumors as of late, especially when it comes to the storyline. And while there has been talk of Saitama facing the Monster Association as a major arc, other reports claim that the hero's past will be explored instead.

As previously reported, rumor has it that the upcoming season of the popular Japanese anime series will see Saitama coming face-to-face with the capable villains that comprise the Monster Association. To make matters worse for the bald hero, it is speculated that Garou will also be a major foe in the new season. Garou, one of Bang's former students, will ally with the Monster Association after being exiled from Silver Fang's dojo.

The Monster Association will also see the appearance of various monsters that have differing abilities. Some of them may even be more powerful than Saitama, and there has been talk of the hero possibly facing his first defeat in the upcoming season. As fans know, Saitama has never been defeated due to his ability to take opponents down with one punch.

Apparently, facing these new foes will also lead to Saitama acquiring new skills along the way. Apart from that, some also believe that romance will soon visit the hero as he falls in love with a new character who will debut in season 2.

However, one report states that the second season may be all about Saitama's background. Very little is known about the hero's past, so a little enlightenment would really be exciting for fans to experience. According to the report, the next season will apparently be titled "One-Punch Man Season 2: The Beginning," referring to Saitama's origins.

And while all these rumors are certainly exciting, readers should keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed so far. Fans will have to wait until the premiere of "One-Punch Man" season 2, which is expected to be out mid-2017 or 2018.
