Speculation Continues as Fans Await Official Premiere Announcement for Season 2 of One Punch Man
Since it was officially announced last year, "One Punch Man" season 2 has been causing much excitement to fans the world over. But while speculations continue to pour in, confirmed information about the anime series remains scarce.
Production has reportedly begun, and fans could expect the premiere of "One Punch Man's" sophomore run in July. The month marks the second anniversary of the anime's original debut. But since no official announcement has been made regarding its release date, the highly anticipated anime series could come at a later, or even an earlier date.
As to what's about to go down when the anime returns on air, there is also very little information to go around. While fans are hoping for Saitama to finally be accorded the respect he deserves as a member of the Hero Association, others are speculating that a fight between him and A-Class Rank 1 hero Amai Mask might break out. This could very well lead to a possible first defeat for Saitama.
It has also been rumored that Lord Boros, whom Saitama has previously defeated, might return for a rematch and could just as well bring the titular One Punch Man to his knees. Is Saitama really about to find his match? While it could potentially add a layer of conflict to the upcoming season, it seems unlikely, unless Saitama somehow loses his inhumane strength for whatever reason. This possibility has also found its way to the current rumor mill.
Another potential new villain that could be introduced in the anime is Metal Knight, whose highly developed weapons could also stand a chance against Saitama's powerful one-punch finisher.
Talks about Saitama's new appearance have also been spreading, from regrowing the hair he lost from his intense training, to the Caped Baldy acquiring a new superhero costume along with a more expressive face.
These rumors and speculations may either be proven or debunked when "One Punch Man" season 2 finally airs sometime this year.
