OnePlus 5 Specs List and June Launch Date Leaked
If the latest reports about the OnePlus 5 are anything to go by, the flagship is bound to give its competition a run for their money.
Details on the specifications and features as well as the release date of the next OnePlus flagship appear to have been leaked by the India-based retailer, My Smart Price.
Looking at the details, the OnePlus 5 will be a monster of a smartphone. Based on the information provided on the site, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
If this is accurate, users will no longer have to worry about the reports that it will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset.
The OnePlus 5 is made more beastly with an 8 GB of random-access memory (RAM) to prop up the processor with 128 GB storage to boot. The former will definitely be a major improvement from the OnePlus 3T's 6 GB RAM.
Previous reports suggested that the OnePlus 5 will boast a dual camera setup although there is no mention of that in the My Smart Price listing.
Instead, it is indicated that the flagship is getting a 23 MP shooter on the rear, and then another camera at 16 MP placed on the front.
If this is the case, the OnePlus 5 is not getting much upgrade on the selfie-snapping side since the OnePlus 3T also had a 16 MP front-facing shooter.
The OnePlus 5 will also reportedly sport a 5.5-inch quad high-definition (HD) active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display. Other reports suggest that the device is also getting a 4,000 mAh battery.
My Smart Price lists the OnePlus 5 with a price of Rs 34,999, which converts to a little over $530. The smartphone will allegedly be released on June 30, which is a possible launch date for the device since the OnePlus 3 was released in the same month.
The information provided by the retailer remains unconfirmed at the moment so users are advised to take it with a pinch of salt.
