Oppo F5 Confirmed for Oct. 26 in the Philippines
Check out the selfies by some of the company endorsers from the country
The Oppo F5 will be officially unveiled on Oct. 26, at least in the Philippines.
This is according to ABS CBN News. Celebrities in the country, however, got to experience the device early on as Oppo F5 units were provided at the recent Star Magic Ball 2017, in which the company's endorsers used the flagship for their selfie fix at the fancy event.
Oppo set up a booth where the celebrities can take a selfie or "groufie" using the Oppo F5 to help them capture their best moments of the night.
Stars like Joshua Garcia and Julia Barreto posted the photos they took using the handset on their Instagram, where they also revealed the release date.
"I think I nailed this one using my Oppo F5 for slay selfie tonight," she said of one she took. "Caaan't wait when Oppo Philippines launch this phone on October 26," she went on to say.
Colleen Garcia also used the smartphone to "[hoard] memories" from the big day and even posted a photo of herself using the Oppo flagship, which also provides a look at its design.
As shown in the promotional posters for the device that emerged a few days ago, the Oppo F5 only has one camera on the back, which is where an oval fingerprint scanner is also placed.
The front, however, is said to have a dual camera setup, which is its main attraction.
In the recent years, Oppo has been focusing on beefing up the selfie snappers on their smartphones, and for the Oppo F5 the company wants to "capture the real you."
There are no details yet about the rest of the specs as the tech firm is marketing the device solely for its imaging capabilities. Thankfully, it won't be long before users get to see the Oppo F5 in the flesh. It is unknown, however, when other regions will see its unveiling.
