'Orange is the New Black' season 4 news: Caitlyn Jenner might guest in a cameo role
Fans are anxiously awaiting for the hit comedy TV drama "Orange is the New Black" to be back next year. The show has not been confirmed yet by Netflix or its producers on when exactly it will be back next year; however, it is expected to air around June.
Several rumors are now being speculated online about the plot of the new season of the series. The most relevant speculation so far is that Caitlyn Jenner, previously Bruce, will appear in a cameo role in the Netflix series. The "I am Cait" reality star, who is known for her advocacy on the LGBTQ rights, is expected to give the popular TV show a boost.
In a report by OK Magazine!, a source told the publication that Caitlyn's popularity will definitely "draw more viewers" to the show. "It's the perfect time for Caitlyn to come in and help Sophia take a stand against the bullies," the source added.
Another rumor about the new season is that drama will be tenfold, since the Litchfield Prison is now facing an overcrowding issue. Viewers will see the clash between the new arrivals in the prison and its old-timers. Besides the overcrowding problems, life in prison will be more difficult this season, as promised by Kate Mulgrew in her recent interviews. Mulgrew plays Red on the show.
Meanwhile, Uzo Aduba told TV Guide in an interview last August, that her character, Suzanne Warren, will have a meaningful love story in season 4. Aduba described her character's new romance in the show, and what it feels for Suzanne. "I think she would be in that space of openness and trying to learn. I think that she would be giving of her heart and her mind and her soul, in complete fullness and complete abandon. And that might be pretty, messy, sticky — but beautiful," Aduba said.
