In addition, she explained that the upcoming season will be intense, and different from the previous seasons. She said that new inmates will be entering the precinct, as seen in the finale, which will cause the prison to overpopulate. She said, "This season is going to be epic. It's one of the best that they have written so far. There are some surprises that are going to tear you in half."

Another actress of the series also shared some spoilers for season 4. According to TV Guide, Laura Prepon, who takes on the role of Alex, explained that she will be returning. The previous season ended with fans not knowing if Alex was still going to be alive after being attacked. However, Prepon stated that the attack will change her character. She said, "I don't think you're going to see a more timid side of Alex. If anything, she's justified in her paranoia. ... That empowers her, in my opinion."

Despite her new personality, Prepon said that something that will remain the same is the connection between Piper and Alex. Prepon added, "You can't control where your heart goes, and Alex and Piper will always have a connection."

"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 is expected to return on Netflix this 2016.
