'Orange is the New Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Series Takes A Darker Turn
With "Orange Is The New Black" expected to return with Season 4 in a couple of months, one of the show's stars was able to share some interesting teasers about the upcoming episodes.
The third season of "Orange Is The New Black" ended with a lot of questions. Many characters were put in situations that had fans questioning their fate in the series. With that, viewers are wondering about what is in store for the fourth season of "Orange is the New Black."
As reported by Latin Times, actress Kate Mulgrew, who plays the role of Galina "Red" Reznikov, shared some hints about what the future is like for the characters. She explained that the creator of the series, Jenji Kohan, decided to explore the system of prison further in the upcoming season.
With that, she warned fans that the new episodes will bring a darker perspective to the stories of the female inmates. However, she also said that it will still retain its comedic atmosphere. She said, "There's a lot of laughs, but you must buckle your seatbelts, because she takes some very interesting turns. It gets very dark. I think you will be very surprised, I think you will be wholeheartedly engaged, you will be riveted."
Along with Mulgrew, another actress of the series Selenis Leyva, who plays the role of Gloria Mendoza, shared an interesting details about what will happen in Litchfield. She teased that there will surely more trouble in the fourth season.
She said, "I think [Season 4] is going to be one of the most talked about seasons. There's a lot more conflict, there's division amongst the groups more than ever. This is the season of the rise of the Latinas and there's a lot of conflict within that." However, neither actresses shared exact details about what they meant.
With that, fans will just have to wait until Jun. 17 to see what else will happen in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4.
