The whole season 4 evolves around regret and flashbacks of the events before each of them went to prison. After Poussey's (Samira Wiley) death, we see flashbacks about her life. The first time she went to New York, so young and joyful and a witness to all the best people during that time.

What Did Poussey's Death Mean
How might have Poussey's death impacted her girlfriend Taystee (Danielle Brooks) and girlfriend Soso (Kimiko Glenn)? For Taystee, she has nothing to lose, this time it is time to fight. Soso however, lost someone that's everything to her. Will she be part of her friend's group? Or will she finish her sentence in Litchfield alone?
CO Bayley (Allan Aisenberg) is left hanging being accused as the accidental murderer of Poussey. Caputo (Nick Sandow) announced in a press conference that Bayley is going to take on a temporary leave. This is a Caputo's way of defending Bayley in this incident. Bayley has always been sweet-natured and innocent, now he's smashed into pieces. Will he ever return to Litchfield?

Stepping Up For The Fight
In the final moment of season 4, Daya (Dascha Polanco) aimed a loose gun at CO Humphrey (Michael Torpey) in a prison-wide riot. At this point, none of the inmates would step up and meddle given CO Humphrey's abusive nature. Will Daya pull the trigger? Knowing that she had a lot of pent up anger inside her because of what had happened. Will she ever risk not seeing her baby again?

As season 5 has started with production it is too early to tell what might be. Though there already is a renewal for season's 5, 6 and 7, viewers are left thinking over on the final events from the last season. Season 5 is set to come out in 2017.
