Between the two, the Warriors are simply better on paper. With stars like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green in the lineup, the Warriors have gone on a historic run that seemingly challenges the existing record set by the Chicago Bulls.
Already over 50 wins this season, the Warriors are definitely looking to break the mark and be the first team to win 73 games or over in a regular campaign.
They certainly have the tools to do it and this goes much more than breaking the record. The way the Warriors are playing at the moment, it is extremely difficult to imagine a team unseating them from the mantle as the best basketball club in the world.
On the other hand, the Magic are simply progressing as a young team. Despite having a below .500 record so far this year, many have praised the Magic's advancement as a young core to a solid presence in the Eastern Conference.
With young players like Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton, and Nikola Vucevic, the immediate future of the Magic looks bright. Veteran additions like Brandon Jennings can also help them progress toward being better professionals as they try and climb the ranks to eventually becoming a playoff squad.
This is the first time the two teams meet and will clash again in March.
