Orlando Magic vs. Miami Heat Preview: Heat Out To 'Take Care Of Business' And Keep Themselves In Running For Playoff Spot

The Miami Heat may be seated at the fifth spot at the NBA Eastern Conference standings, but they are not taking things lightly.

Coach Erik Spoelstra and his squad are set to take on the number twelve-ranked Orlando Magic on Friday, March 25th, at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

The Heat has so far won three of their last five games. They are, however, coming off a recent loss against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, with a final score of 112-88. But for guard Dwyane Wade, the key is to not look far into the future and take things one game at a time.

"We've just got to come out and take care of business. Don't think too far ahead, play each game for what it's worth and what it is and keep going from there," Wade said in an NBA.com report.

The first time Miami and Orlando faced each other was on December 27th, with the Heat emerging victorious with a final score of 108-101. Miami did trail via a huge margin coming into the third period, down with a score of 61-46.

But it was Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade's combined efforts that helped spark up an 18-5 run. Wade and Bosh both finished the game with 24 points apiece. The superstar point guard, however, added in six assists and two steals, shooting 7 out of 12 from the field, through 29 minutes of playing time.

Bosh, on the other hand, contributed with a double-double, adding in ten rebounds, three assists, and two steals, shooting 10 out of 16 from the field and 2 out of 3 from the three-point area, through 34 minutes of playing time.

The Miami Heat currently hold a win-loss slate of 41-30, rallying behind the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, and Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Orlando Magic, meanwhile, are holding a 29-42 record. They are currently on a five-game losing streak.
