As stated in the press release, Season 4 will see the head of the pack, Sarah (Tatiana Maslany), "reluctantly" returning home after spending a great amount of time in her Icelandic hideout. Her mission is to track down "an elusive and mysterious ally" who is thought to be involved with the clone who started all the chaos – Beth Childs.

The summary said that Sarah will begin to follow Beth's trail which will lead her "into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying new direction."

Driven by her instinct to protect the sisterhood and ensure the safety of everyone else, it is said that Sarah's "old habits" will be expected to once again resurface.

"As the close-knit sisters are pulled in disparate directions, Sarah finds herself estranged from the loving relationships that changed her for the better," the synopsis continued.

Maslany, who plays the multiple key characters in the critically-acclaimed show, recently spoke with TVLine's Michael Ausiello during the Emmy event. When asked as to what new things will be expected of her in the new season, the 30-year-old Canadian star jokingly said that none of the clones will be able to fly.

In a more serious tone, Maslany once again thanked the fans of the series to whom she felt greatly indebted for the overall success of the show.

Stay tuned for more updates.
