'Orphan Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Maslany Brings Beth Childs To Life
The dramatic return of the hit BBC America series "Orphan Black," had fans stunned at how Tatiana Maslany was able to take on another character for the series.
Fans of the series were happy to see their favorite characters back in the small screens. However, their presence is expected to bring more mysteries and adventures for Sarah Manning and her clone sisters. The return of the series saw the show returning back to its root, with the characters challenged with several obstacles and questions.
The show decided to take the story back from the beginning of the story, instead of moving forward from where Season 3 had ended. Because of this, fans got to know more about Sarah before she encountered the late Beth Childs, who was the reason she embarked on the journey regarding her past and her clone sisters.
Viewers also got a look into Beth's life, allowing Maslany to bring another character to life. With that, she was seen as a protective and motherly figure to the clone sisters. However, it was also revealed that she was struggling with her life, after finding out who Paul really was.
As reported by Variety, "Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany was able to shared details about what it was like giving life to another clone sister. She said, "It gets easier every time you do it, but John always wants to push the limits of what we're able to do with the technology. No part of it is natural, but the great thing is we always rehearse the scenes a lot with people in there so I've got a good sense of just what it would be like if there was another person there."
The executive producer of the series John Fawcett also commended Maslany on her performance. He said, "It doesn't even really look like a visual effect shot anymore, it just looks like two people in the same space so you don't really question it. But it is complicated — obviously there aren't two Tatianas, but it's easy to forget that because she's so good."
