'Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara' Air Date, Spoilers: It's All About the Cocktails in Upcoming Slice-of-Life Comedy Anime
Every woman has a secret, and perfect assistant manager Chisato Mizusawa is no different. She, along with her loving husband, Sora Mizusawa, star in the upcoming Japanese slice-of-life comedy anime series, "Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara (Drinking Is Allowed After Marrying)."
The series is based on the manga series of the same name created by Crystal na Yousuke. It tells the story of an excellent 28-year-old assistant company manager, Chisato, and the secret that only her husband, Sora, knows.
In contrast to her rather reserved personality at work, she becomes a total "yoidere," or cute drunk, after partaking in Sora's nightly cocktails. Chisato loves to drink alcohol, but this is a side to her that she exclusively keeps between herself and her husband. And together, they are considered to be Japan's closest married couple.
The manga series began serialization on the free manga website "Yawaraka Spirits" in 2015 and has since released six compilation volumes. The manga creator, Crystal, has also been credited for "Onidere," "Hime Hajime," and "M Game."
On the other hand, the upcoming anime adaptation will be directed by Saori Tachibana under the general director, Hisayoshi Hirasawa. Anime production will be handled by Creators in Pack with Yuzuko Hanai serving as character designer.
The opening theme, titled "Don't Let Me Down," will be performed by the four-member Japanese rock band, "Cellchrome." The song can be heard on the latest promotional video, which also features the voices of Eri Kitamura for Chisato and Mitsuhiro Ichiki for Sora.
"Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara" premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 3, late night at 1 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and at late night 2 a.m. JST on Sun TV. It will also be available on the online video service GYAO!. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources will be available at a later time on the series' official site.
