'Outlander' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Jamie-Claire Love Story To Be Put to Test Again?
The upcoming season of "Outlander" is still probably months or even a whole year away, but fans are already clamoring for teasers, hints, and news about the second installment.
In the previous season, Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) wasn't in the spotlight much. Fans didn't really see much of Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) husband in the entire season, save a few episodes in the beginning of the series, but multiple outlets report that Frank will certainly be back and his return only means trouble for the love between Claire and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).
While Claire is already preparing for her child with Jamie on the way, some outlets reveal that Claire's daughter, Brianna, will take Frank's last name instead of Jamie's. Not much details have been unveiled about the news, but fans are already stirring and making debates as to what events would follow if the rumor proves to be true.
Frank indeed is a great obstacle already for the couple, but according to Carter Matt, a "one-time" ex-beau of Jamie when he was in France just might make an appearance and also brew some hot scenes in the upcoming season. With Frank probably looking forward to reuniting with Claire, Jamie's former flame could also be expecting to mend the torn bonds of the past.
The outlet mentions that season 2 will be featuring the political side of Scotland as the couple will venture into a mission of changing history all together and stopping the Battle of Culloden from happening.
As the two are already faced with struggles to somehow end the violence and brutality, the second installment of Diana Gabaldon's work will see Jamie and Claire not only fighting the war of politics but also the war of love and hate.
There is no specific date laid out just yet for the return of "Outlander," but rumors indicate that the next season will be out sometime in 2016 on Starz.
