Pabst Replaces Beer Stolen From Student (VIDEO)

Jessica Robinson was robbed last Thursday night at what she believed was knifepoint over a can of beer. As strange as the incident seemed, it managed to catch the attention of the company who produces the beer, who in turn offered Robinson a round on them.

Robinson is a college student at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln city. According to the advertising major, Robinson was enjoying a Thursday night drinking Pabst beer outside with friends she was approached by two unknown men who insisted on being offered a beer.

Robinson claimed that when she turned the men away, one man pulled out what she believed was a knife according to News Channel 6's WowTV.

The man was later tracked down by Lincoln police, who arrested the suspect and poured out the remaining Pabst beer in the can.

"They came and poured it out. What a shame. What a shame," Robinson told WowTV.

Case solved, end of story right? But to Robinson's surprise, the story didn't end there. After expressing her disappointment over the wasted beverage, Rick Birdsell, who works for the Pabst beer company, decided that he would right the wrong.

Birdsell then contacted Robinson and offered the student two free cases on the house, and even offered to deliver to Robinson's house. Upon arrival, Birdsell even went as far as to enjoy a cold one with the student on her porch.

"My parents will be so proud," Robinson said of the incident. It was later discovered that the man who had approached Robertson was not carrying a knife, but rather a fork.

Many, however, have suggested that Pabst beer isn't really worth stealing, unless of course you are a hipster.

"How can they drink that stuff? must have been on sale. if it was the ony beer in the world, i'd have to think twice. guess i'm not a hipster," Caveredecorator said on the Huffington Post blog.

"Hipsters love Pabst," TooKrunk informed.

"I actually tried Pabst and liked it. I am kind of a hipster though," DeeJay SweetLife admitted.
