'Paladins: Champions of the Realm' OB42 Patch News: New Character Torvald Sports an Ancient Look but Has Powerful Abilities
"Paladins: Champions of the Realm" is getting a new patch, the grandest one that Hi-Rez Studio has ever done for the title. The OB42 patch update was announced following the negative feedback the game has received from "Overwatch" fans.
"Overwatch" fans were apparently disappointed by the gameplay of "Paladins: Champions of the Realm" since it is said to be just a rip-off of the former. This may have prompted Hi-Rez Studio to take an immediate action and release the OB42 update in order to lure more gamers to the title.
The multiplayer, shooter game now has a new character that players will control. Torvald is known to have exceptional abilities such as Protection, Gauntlet, Hyper Beam, Runic Blast and Recharge. He is a Front Line class who has an ancient façade due to his old age and academic wardrobe, but he has a strong, robotic fist that can cause severe damage to his opponent.

Also, according to sources, Torvald has 6,000 amount of health, but would get drained every time he receives an attack. However, his Recharge ability produces a shield that would protect him from damage. He becomes immobile as the shield generates, but he can also steal the shield of his opponent by merely looking at it.
He can also use several cards including Induction, Livegiver, Infusion, Vital Grasp, Glyph of the Fist, Glyph of Siphoning, Hearthwarder, among others. More of Torvald's cards and their respective abilities are posted on the "Paladins: Champions of the Realm" website.
It was during the game's livestream event when the people behind the game revealed what the latest patch notes have for the players. Aside from the new character, the player vs. environment (PvE) game mode was announced. It allows five players to team up and face the enhanced enemy players.
The update also features a new mode that will be released on a weekly basis, new enemies and Gold and Exp awards. The release date of OB42 patch note is yet to be announced.
