'Paragon' News, Updates: Whip-wielding Yin Joins the Fray on March 14

It's the third week since Shinbi was introduced, and so this means a new character is set to arrive in the world of "Paragon." This time, another female character joins the skirmish in the person of the whip-wielder and wind-manipulator Yin.

Yin gracefully enters the fray by calculating her attacks from a distance and closes in with the use of her whip. Combined with her wind magic, she can be considered a powerful threat even to huge hordes when used properly.

This new character has a unique set of attacks, starting off with Windburn. This skill allows her to focus her attacks midrange with the use of wind magic guiding her whip, allowing her to hit more than one enemy in a straight line. Another interesting move is Lash Kick, which is used either to deal damage while closing in on a foe or even target an ally to reach locations easily, making it versatile.

Her two tricky skills work extremely well together, with Back Lash being a tactical move. When enemies target Yin with a long-range attack, Back Lash allows her to deflect their attack and send them flying back. Her ultimate, Quelling Gale, surrounds her with a whirlwind for five seconds, slowing down both enemies and projectiles closing in on her. Coupled with Back Lash, this could turn the tide against foes.

Yin is the fourth character in a row to be featured as a female in human form, which may be a way to even out the number of male and female heroes in "Paragon." She also shares the similarity with the previously introduced heroes of being a melee hero, though her whip allows her to operate on a longer range than others.

"Paragon" reveals new heroes every three weeks, and so players can anticipate a new character to arrive on April 4.
