'PaRappa the Rapper Remastered' PS4 Release Date News: Coming on April 4

Sony Interactive Entertainment has just announced the release date for "PaRappa the Rapper™ Remastered." The rhythm game will be releasing an updated look coming on April 4, 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 4 Pro, so fans of the classic beat game can soon enjoy the rhythm game on the current generation of PlayStation.

Sony is running a short sale promo to highlight selected games in its catalog, and this time, the remastered "PaRappa the Rapper" is added to the mix. As noted by the coverage written up by Endgadget, six titles including the revamped rap rhythm game will be included in Sony's new promotion called "Play Collective."

The new "Play Collective" promo will be giving out discounts for a set of games specially selected for the PlayStation Store special bundle. Six gaming titles that include "PaRappa the Rapper™ Remastered" and LucasArts classic "Full Throttle Remastered" will have a sizable 20 percent knocked off their usual price for PlayStation Plus members.

The new release will not be deviating at all from the classic version, with all the catchy songs and unique characters making their return from the original game. According to a report by PlayStation Lifestyle, the difference is a huge improvement in resolution — 1,080p on the PlayStation 4, and dynamic 4K on the PlayStation4 Pro. The remastered game has also improved on the texture, adapting to the higher resolutions of the current-gen consoles. "PaRappa the Rapper™ Remastered" will also have enhanced audio and more alternative soundtracks.

"PaRappa the Rapper™ Remastered" also improves on the gameplay of the original, with a couple of new features. "Feel the beat" lets the players feel the song as their controller vibrates in time to the beat of the current track. "See the beat" helps the players get the timing right by pulsing the player icon in rhythm with the song.
