Paris Hilton Gay Comments Homophobia or Taken Out of Context? (Audio Tape)
Paris Hilton was recorded making explosive statements about homosexual men in New York recently, but in response to the newly released audio recording the socialite insists that her remarks were taken out of context.
In the recording Paris, 31, is heard having an x-rated conversation with another male in which the reality TV star seemingly blasts homosexuals as being "disgusting." Some have accused her of speaking about all homosexuals, although a representative for Hilton has seemingly claimed that Hilton was speaking about a specific situation she was talking about with her friend.
"Gay guys are the horniest people in the world," Hilton casually says in the Audio tape before adding, "They're disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS."
The male proceeds to tell Hilton about gay trysts and explains how easily accessible sex is while referencing an x-rated smartphone app which allows gay men to instantly locate other gay men for sex.
"I would be so scared if I were a gay guy," Hilton goes on. "You'll like, die of AIDS!"
The recording reportedly took place on Sept. 7 in New York City where the heiress was present for New York Fashion Week. A cab driver, who allegedly transported Hilton and the male companion to an undisclosed location, recorded the pair's conversation.
"I couldn't believe what was coming out of Paris' mouth and the way she was talking about gay men," the unidentified driver reportedly told RadarOnline, which uploaded the audio recording.
However, a spokesperson for Hilton attempted to explain his client's remarks and insisted that she is a "huge supporter of the gay community." He explained that Hilton and her friend were speaking about a very specific story, and when taken out of context makes the remarks seem much wider reaching than they were originally intended. He added that some of the comments were made as the pair looked at a website, and that Hilton was talking specifically about that, and not all homosexuals, as is being claimed.
"Paris Hilton's comments were to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to a life threatening disease. The conversation became heated, after a close gay friend told her in a cab ride, a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex," the spokesperson said in a statement to Radar.
"He also discussed a website that encourages random sex by gay men with strangers. As she was being shown the website her comments were in reference to those people promoting themselves on the site. The cab driver who recorded this, only provided a portion of the conversation. It was not her intent to make any derogatory comments about all gays. Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone's sexual orientation," the statement went on.
