Paris Jackson Photo Shows Seemingly Happy, Healthy Teen

Paris Jackson appears happy and healthy in a new photo taken while on vacation in Hawaii. The 15-year-old vacationed on the island with her family for Christmas. It's the first time she's been pictured since her hospitalization months ago.

The photo is one of Paris and her biological mother, Debbie Rowe, and shows the two of them looking quite happy and healthy. According to one source, the two spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day together; Paris is currently on break from her residential school. Yet while all appears to be going well, Paris will not return home with her family before heading back to school.

"The family doesn't want Paris to spend her entire winter break at home because they don't want her getting comfortable," a source told E! News. "The family thinks Paris will try to talk her way into staying home after showing the family she's gotten better."

Paris and her brothers, Prince and Blanket, were joined by Rowe and guardian TJ, as well as other cousins and a host of bodyguards. It's the first time the three siblings have been together in public since Paris' hospitalization in June 5. Paris arrived in Hawaii first, on Dec. 21, and the rest of the family arrived just two days later.

Various photos of Paris and her friends have been posted on the teen's Instagram and Twitter accounts, showing her having fun and looking rather relaxed. It's a good sign that she is on the mend after attempting suicide just six months ago. Paris has been receiving treatment for depression and grief that many believe stems from the loss of her father, Michael, in 2009.

"The treatment is going good, really good," grandmother Katherine told reporters earlier. "She's my baby. It's hard for me, really hard. All I want is for these kids is for them to be happy. She (Paris) is in a good place, getting the help she needs. She is doing much better."
